Still Life

Well would you look at that.
The Grip-Stand bowl from Downton Abbey,
spilling over with orange-gold grapefruit.

How thankful I am, to fill my house with fresh fruits and vegetables
all the year 'round.

Every morning I juice half a grapefruit
and two clementines,
and I pour the juice and pulp into the glass.
Malachi and I can't get enough of this sun-shiny start to the day.

Have a glorious weekend, everyone!

  1. Yum! Lovely to start
    each day with gratitude
    for small blessings, like
    sunshine-y fruit in the
middle of a cold and snowy
    winter!

    Love to you,
    xo Suzanne

    1. Yes Suzanne, when I read Little House (or Willa Cather) I am reminded that they had no fresh produce for most of the year. I have to admit though - the Valencia oranges in Florida, freshly picked by our hostess, were extra delicious.
