I now have two of these vintage Pyrex mixing bowls.
They are just right for making Oatmeal Crepes every morning.
Ah breakfast, every morning we welcome you.
I love bowls. Those are nice ones. I make your oatmeal crepes at least twice a week, and lately berries have been on sale so we've had them with berries and cream... DELICIOUS. However, I make the crepes in the blender, not in a bowl, which makes them less photogenic but quite a lot quicker.
I'm so happy that these work for you! Yes I think I love them best with fresh berries and whipped cream. I still haven't trotted out the blender, although that's a great idea. My counter top is jam-packed with vitamins (not my vitamins, I might add) and I don't want one more thing on it!
Oh, my blender is always in the dish drainer. I use it multiple times a day, mostly for smoothies because that is my favorite way to eat spinach, but also for many, many things. Sauces, salad dressings, crepes, muffins, frappuccinos (I am brewing decaf for a late frappuccino right now!) ... I am always throwing things into my blender. It's my favorite appliance.
Clearly you'll have to give your daughter a blender for one of her wedding gifts!
Nate got a Nutri-Bullet, that's probably what I would use. Although our blender is much cuter. And the Nutri-Bullet is right there, next to the vitamins, so I have no excuse except that I'm so attached to my little bowl and whisk!
